Victoria Shepherd - Producer
Victoria is a producer at Raconteur Studios working across a number of ambitious podcast projects to be released in 2025. Victoria spent many years as Senior Producer on major BBC Radio 4 strands, including ‘The Kitchen Cabinet’ presented by Jay Rayner and Editor of ‘Gardeners’ Question Time’ (through the independent supplier, Somethin’ Else) taking her on Outside Broadcast adventures around the country. She has produced strands across the Radio 4 Arts Unit, including ‘Front Row’, ‘Open Book’, ‘The Film Programme’, and BBC Radio 3’s Night Waves (Free Thinking), and made numerous features as a reporter for ‘Woman’s Hour’. She has also made over a hundred documentaries for BBC Radio 4 on diverse subjects, the majority history and history of science, reflecting her passionate interest in these areas. Recent credits include: ‘This Old Heart of Mine’ a cultural history of the heart, presented by Giles Fraser; ‘A History of the Future’, a ten-part series presented by Juliet Gardiner and ‘A Natural History of the Banker’ presented by Andrew Ross-Sorkin. In 2023 she worked with BBC Studios in a collaboration with the Natural History Unit to develop long form narrative podcasts, creating original stories where ‘Nature’ met ‘True Crime’.
Victoria is also the author of two non-fiction books, A History of Delusions published in 2022, following a series of the same name made for Radio 4 which she co-produced with Eve Streeter, and Stony Jack and the Lost Jewels of Cheapside, published June 2025.
